Children may have 20/20 eyesight, yet still have inaccurate eye movements, inadequate focus ability, insufficient coordination of the two eyes, and/or visual perceptual disorders. Children with such vision disorders frequently struggle and fail to live up to their potential. Such children are often labeled as ADD, ADHD, or learning disabled.

When children with learning-related vision disorders have 20/20 eyesight, their difficulties with visual processing or function are often undetected during a routine eye examination. A comprehensive Eye Exam is needed to detect these conditions. Successful treatment of these disorders allows children to benefit more from classroom instruction and to achieve at higher levels, without the need to struggle.
